Richard Macie Illustrations creates live event sketches and custom artwork that capture meaningful moments in a way that feels simple, personal, and lasting. We specialize in weddings and events where guests can be illustrated on-site and leave with something they will actually keep.
Our style is clean and modern, with a focus on flattering details and intentional simplicity. We are not trying to overcomplicate the drawings. The goal is to create something that feels true to the moment while still being polished and beautiful enough to frame or save.
This business started pretty naturally for us. We have both always been creative in different ways and enjoyed working with our hands. Charlie has spent years doing custom commissions like homes and pet portraits, which really shaped his attention to detail. Tia’s background is in larger scale painting and event work, creating things like banners, tables, and custom pieces for events. Combining those two styles is what led us here.
We started this because we kept thinking about how most event favors get left behind or thrown away. We wanted to create something different. Something people would hold onto. Live illustration adds a layer to an event that feels interactive without being over the top, and guests leave with something that is actually tied to their experience.
During your event, guests can come up to us and take their photo, then go back to enjoying the experience. It stays easy and natural, and fits into the flow of the night. We focus on working efficiently while still keeping the quality consistent so we can capture as many people as possible.
We are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and travel for weddings and events. Whether it is a smaller gathering or a larger celebration, the goal is always the same: create something meaningful that people will keep.
